Duel Academy Regionals

First topic message reminder :

Coinciding with my success as a judge in Moncton Regionals I have chosen to host Duel Academy Regionals. In the case of Yugioh, Regionals are considered to be just as competitive but not as valuable as a top at a YCS.

Rules:
1. There will be two tournaments going on at the same time. The first is a single-elimination tournament. The second is a Swiss tournament. You may play in both.

2. Both formats will be using the March 1st banlist. You cannot change your decks between rounds of this tournament.

3. The pairing system I will be using is MANTIS.

4. Deadlines of 6 days will be implemented from the time I make my post about pairings.

5. In the event of a dispute, I will handle it. Send myself a PM or post on the tournament thread.

6. Prizes: In both tournaments, the top 4 will receive prizes in the form of DP. 400 for 3rd or 4th, 800 for 2nd and 1600 for 1st.

7. This tournament will start on March 8th. Sign-ups will close on February 29th at 11:59 Forum time. DO NOT BE LATE.

hey just wondering i see the prizes arent that big as other tounraments ive seen but there are a lot of ppl in here should the prize for 1st 2nd and 3rd be something about dorm changing?

Atheridis: If you do well in both tournaments I will consider you for a dorm upgrade.

What are the deck rules for this? Like are you supposed to use a different deck for each section or the same one, and can you change decks throughout?

What is swiss tournament?

a swiss tourny is done like it is at local tourny in RL its where even if you loose you dont get eliminated you get to keep on going and to me more fun then single elmination :/
