What's one of the decks you least expected to top? Some people might say Vendread; but they're out for revenge against those who said such. Someone topped with a 60 card Vendread build at St. Louis, making it 23rd place

Here's some detail into how the deck works in general since it's all standard:

Vendread are a deck of Zombie-Type monsters that focus around being in the GY as ritual fodder and resurrecting. Using "That Grass Looks Greener", this deck fully optimizes on zombies being in the GY and generally taking advantage of the fact that the Vendread monsters want to be there for future usage. You might be asking why the ratios, well that's because the deck plays out normally, and cards you wouldn't typically want to see turn 1 are put at lower ratios. Using the fact that "Shiranui Solitaire" is a 1- card "Psy-Framelord Omega" the deck combines engines that synergize with each other to an extent, allowing different plays. Taking advantage of the new "Vampire Sucker" Link monster that synergizes well with both zombies, and Vendread, giving you something worth getting battle effects off such as "Revendread Slayer" using his effect to banish a zombie, making use of "Shiranui Spiritmaster" with its effect to destroy, and allowing a direct attack with a little more damage.

I was never truly dead, but I never did quite get to live.
