Feature Match

Good Day Everybody, Today we'll be featuring the final match-up between Placido and Blitz which determined the duelist who had more determination and skills to be crowned as the new YCS Champion !!
Placido is running a Recruitless Gravekeeper's deck (Before Update) whose main goal is to control the graveyard, fetching each others offering magnificent field, graveyard and hand control. While on the other side we're having Blaze who's running a Light Hero Beat deck whose purpose is to keep field control and get plus ones with Gemini Spark (Elemental Hero Alius Neos), Hero Blast backed up by Miraculous Elemental Hero Zero and Elemental Hero Shining.

Placido won the dice roll and chose to go first

His first six cards are Solemn Warnig, Gale, Bottomless, Necorvalley, pot of Duality and Stele. He started the duel by activating Pot of duality which gets him Gravekeeper's Spy, He activated Necrovalley, set Spy along with 2 facedowns and ended his turn

*That's one of the best opening plays for GKs atleast Game 1*

Blitz drew, activated RoTA to search Elemental Hero Stratos, summoned it, Placido didn't chain, He proceeded to search an Alius, He then activated Pot of Duality, Picked a Torrential tribute, Set 3 cards and ended his turn.

*very wise of Blitz not to ram into Spy (He saw it through POD) with his stratos so he doesn't trigger its effect*

Placido drew, It's Royal Tribute !! He flip summoned Spy fetching a Descendant, Blitz asked if he was going for Descendant's Priority, Placido smiled and nodded, tributed spy to pop Torrential Tribute, Blitz at that instant chained Bottomless Trap Hole to remove Descendant from play.
Placido then Summoned gale to shrink Stratos and run over it. (8000-7800)
In Main Phase 2 Placido activates Royal Tribute (Having no monsters in his hand) to discard his opponent's Alius and reveal Miracle Fusion and spark (One for One)

*Placido's plays this turn are considered the one which made the first round of the duel his*

Blitz drew, set 1 card and ended

Placido drew Bottomless Trap Hole, attacked with gale (8000-6300), and set Bottomless Trap Hole.

Blitz drew and set another card.

Placido drew Gravekeeper's Commandant, He chose not to summon and over-extend with no monsters having to Plan B so he kept poking with Gale (8000-5000)

Blitz drew, tried to summon Rai-Oh but Placido responded with Bottomless Traphole.

Placido drews Solemn Warning, attacked with gale and ended his turn (8000-3700)

Blitz drew, set 1 more and ended

Placido drew Caius the Shadow Monarch. attacked and ended. (8000-2400)

Blitz set 1 more.

Placido drew Gravekeeper's Spy, then attacks again. (8000-1100)

On Blitz's last turn, he activated Pot of Duality and chose Alius over Dark Hole and MST, he Summoned Alius which was negated by Placido's Solemn Warning (6000-1100)
Blitz concended

Both of them rushed into their side decks and quickly are finshed. Placido sided 2 Magic Drains and 1 Cyber Dragon for 1 Gravekeeper's Stele, 1 Royal Oppression and 1 Gravekeeper's Commandant.

BliTz chose to go first as he lost game 1.

Placido has a hand of Gravekeepers Spy, Gravekeeper's Commandant, Necrovalley, Malefic Stardust Dragon and Pot of Duality.

Blitz summons Elemental Hero Stratos giving him Alius then he activates Pot fo Duality reavling 1 Bottomless Trap Hole 1 Mystical 1 Miracle Fusion, he picks mst. sets 3 cards and ends.

*Placido then had 2 cards shut in his hand with Blitz picking MST*

Placido drew Gravkeepers Descendant, activates Necrovalley, but Blitz quickly responds with Mystical Space Typhoon. *Blitz should've waited for Placido to waste a normal summonon or even a Battle Phase before responding*
Placido pitched another copy of necrovalley with Commadant, but it got destroyed by a 2nd Mystical! Then he activated Pot of duality to get Stele. He set Spy and ended.

BliTz activated Pot of Duality givig him hero Blast over Giant Trunade and Monster Reborn . He summons Elemental Hero Alius, then uses Gemini Spark on Placido's f/d Spy.
Placido at that instant knowing that he only ran 2 necrovalleys scooped the game giving placido an easy win on his 2nd turn

Placido chose to go first

He drew a hand of Royal Tribute, Malefic Stardust Dragon, Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind, Gravekeeper's Spy, Compulsory Evacuation Device and Pot of Duality. He activated Pot of Duality to get Solemn Warning over Book of Moon and Cyber Dragon.
He set Gravekeeper's Spy, backrow and ended his turn.

BliTz activates Pot of Duality giving him Solemn Warning over Greenkappa and Alius. He sets 2 cards and ends. *He'd normally go for Kappa but reading his opponent's Spy, He chose Warning*

Placido drew magic Drain, he flip summons Gravekeeper's Spy, but Blitz responds with Skill Drain! (8000-7000) *That's a second reason why he didn't choose Kappa*
Placido then summoned Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind and atks with both for 2500 damage. (8000-4500)

BliTz activated Dark Hole, but Placido responds with Magic Drain. Blitz chose to let it go and tried to summon Elemental Hero Alius, but its negated thanks to Solem Warning.

Placido drew a 2nd Gravekeepers Spy, sets it and atks with both dropping Blitz to 2000. *Blitz's Warning is now dead*

The following turn Blitz summoned thunder king raioh, attacked but Placido flipped CED!
He concended revealing a hand of Honest, Alius, Honest Gemini Lancer and Thunder King Rai-oh

Both duelists stood up and shaked hands, Blitz congratulated him and raised his hand to announce the winner of YCS and THE NEW DA CHAMPION !!

since noone provided visual materials (video of the duel) this duel was watched and reported by atlus who also did write most stuff, I just improved the english quality...

Boring match. :/

Blitz hand in last duel was very bad, but I don't see a reason why he didn't summon any monster on his first turn. :/

game 1 and 3 were kinda same he always rammed me with gale xD. However game 1 i was begging for a monster but got nothin.. game 3 nothin but monsters ._.

Remember, this game was before update so it was recruitless GKs which relatively ran higher monster count because it had other winning conditions so tributing would - placido as well plus why'd he tribute before summoning/ setting if he was going for that.

One last thing is that usually royal tribute is sided out against light hero beat because of its very low monster count (11-14)

what are u talking about.. you cant prove anythin in just 1 match lol, if u didnt notice 6 LB made it to the top and that couldn't happen if they suck ._.
