There have been many questions regarding my resignation from TDOANE and YGOPRO 2, and whats next for me and for those games. I am going to answer the most common questions here, and if you have any addition questions, don't hesitate to ask.
Background Information
I started TDOANE back in 2012 and it quickly grew to be one of the largest Yu-Gi-Oh! simulators, which it remained for the next decade. However, the more time that passed, the less interest I personally had in Yugioh.
Why I resigned
I am not happy with the path Yu-Gi-Oh! has taken. I am what you might call a Yugiboomer. I love the anime, and the original game, but I can't stand modern yugioh. The last time I competitively played Yugioh was back in 2014, when Pendulums were first released.
Yugioh went from being a fun back and forth game that could last many turns into a boring 2 turn game, where each turn takes 5 minutes. I tried playing a duel, and it was perhaps one of the most boring experiences ever. I watched someone summon 11 monsters from their extra deck, and go through over 20 cards in their main deck. Each card had a wall of text as its description. Cards were activating in the graveyard and in the hand during my turn. Then I played an Edison duel, and had an amazing time.
As someone with no interest in what Yugioh has become, I shouldn't be running a modern Yugioh game. I don't want to see my hard work of many years go to waste, so I didn't shut the game down, I resigned and let someone else take over.
Whats next for me?
I am re-watching Yugioh and I started publishing parodies on my
YouTube Channel once again after many years. That's all I will reveal today but more updates will follow soon.
Whats next for TDOANE?
TDOANE is now being run by a gentleman called Mr. Murcielago. So far he has fixed a number of bugs, and finished a lot of what I started but never got around to completing. The future of TDOANE is looking more promising than ever before and I look forward to seeing what he will do next.
